SXA and SXA Headless: Content Tree Differences Explained

Keep in mind differences between SXA regular and Headless one

Last project setup made me realize that I usually get mix regular SXA and Headless (I know the difference is obvious but do not judge me U_U) so I want to write down some differences in the content tree, to keep them in mind.

First things first. This structure well known by us now has a renamed member.

In the renderings location we will have the headless renderings

Here you have all components, way less than regular SXA but all what you need.

Notice that here the renderings are a different type.

And from here, if you need a custom component, you can create it by cloning any of the base templates just keep the best practice of adding first a module. Check Creating SXA Components in Sitecore XM Cloud | Fishtank, really detailed explanation of it.

That all for today. I will be adding more differences on the way. Stay tuned!
